Music impresario ERNEST FLEISCHMANN has died, aged 85.
He passed away in Los Angeles on Sunday (13Jun10) after a long illness. Details of his ailment have not been disclosed.
Fleischmann served as executive director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic for 29 years, and is credited with transforming it into one of the top U.S. orchestras.
Prior to the position, he managed the London Symphony Orchestra; he was also director of music and drama for the Johannesburg Festival in South Africa in 1956.
Fleischmann is survived by three children, Stephanie, Martin and Jessica.
The actor says he isn't "holding out for more money or doing anything like that".
The drama will be making its return to the streaming service in the near future.
