Canadian ice hockey legend Gordie Howe has lost movement in his right arm and leg after suffering a stroke on Sunday (26Oct14).
The longtime Detroit Red Wings star, nicknamed Mr. Hockey, was hospitalised in Lubbock, Texas over the weekend and his daughter, Cathy, reveals the health crisis has also left him with slurred speech.
However, Howe's memory is still intact and the 86 year old is determined to overcome his health woes.
Cathy Howe says, "We'll just see what each day brings. He's tough. He's not giving up."
He'll be performing a new residency at an intimate theatre.
