Country veteran FERLIN HUSKY is recovering in hospital after undergoing surgery on his leg.
The 81-year-old singer was admitted to St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Missouri on Friday (15Jun07) after suffering pain in his legs for several months.
Tracy Pitcox, president of his record label Heart of Texas Records, said doctors have inserted several stents into the arteries of his left leg in a bid to boost circulation after x-rays showed arteries in both legs were nearly blocked.
Husky is expected to undergo a similar operation to his right leg later this month (Jun07).
Many ticket-holders couldn't get into the O2 Arena show on Tuesday night (September 19th) because they didn't bring photo ID to match their booking.
An album re-release, a new song and a documentary mark the singer's legacy this year.
The film will be the first in the Marvel Cinematic Universe led by a person of colour.
The actor plays the titular hero in the forthcoming adaptation.
