HOLLY HUNTER seeks attention through acting because she is affected by growing up as the youngest of seven children.
The OSCAR-winning actress, who is currently appearing on the London stage in BY THE BOG OF CATS, relishes being at the "centre" of things and is "suspicious" of actors who profess to be uncomfortable in the spotlight.
Hunter says, "If you're the youngest of seven, by the time you come along, your parents really are saying, 'Raise yourself.'
"The spoiling days are over. It was fantastic to get onstage and be the centre of attention. No actor can deny that.
"If an actor says that they don't like the attention they get when they're onstage or in front of a camera, I don't know, I'm suspicious."23/11/2004 14:04
