CRASH star Terrence Howard is to head up an all-African-American production of Tennessee Williams' Pulitzer Prize-winning play CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF on Broadway in March (08). The actor will perform alongside thespian Phylicia Rashad in the play, which will be directed by former Fame actress Debbie Allen. Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, which made it to the big screen and starred Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor, has been revived on Broadway four times before, but this production marks the first African-American production approved by Williams' estate for the Broadway stage. The show will also feature Dreamgirls star Anika Noni Rose and James Earl Jones, who recently starred opposite Elizabeth Taylor in a one-night-only benefit performance of Love Letters in Los Angeles.
