The producers of low-budget horror movie DR. BONESAW are making Hollywood history by funding the film with cash donated by those who want to die in it.
Savvy movie executives at production company Lead Balloon came up with the cash for the project by offering those financing the film the chance to become a victim.
Producer Jesse Vigil says. "It's the first horror film funded by the victims... We want to be able to share the experience of making the movie with the people who made the film possible. Think of this like Horror Movie Camp."
And the idea is a big success - a large portion of the film has already been funded by complete strangers desperate to be part of a gory horror film.
