James Desborough, the Hollywood-based reporter for Britain's now-defunct News of the World , has become the thirteenth person connected with the News Corp tabloid to be arrested in the ongoing telephone hacking scandal. Britain's Guardian newspaper indicated that the charges against Desborough relate to his work for the newspaper before he was installed at its Los Angeles offices in 2009. However, it noted, his arrest raises the question of whether he engaged in telephone hacking while working in the U.S. and reporting on the foibles of Hollywood movie stars.
