Canadian musician JEFF HEALEY has assured fans he is still "indestructible" after surviving major surgery last week (ends12JAN07) to remove tumours from both of his lungs.
The HIDEAWAY star has already undergone three cancer-related operations in his lifetime - one on his eyes during childhood, and two on his left leg in the last 18 months - but he is expected to make a full recovery.
Doctors believe 40-year-old Healey's operation was such a success due to the early detection of the cancerous tissue.
Speaking from his beside, Healey said, "I'm stretching the definition of the word indestructible."
Healey hopes to be back on stage at live music venue Jeff Healey's Roadhouse as soon as possible, and is slated to return as host of his radio show next month (FEB07).
