Hayley Roberts would get engaged to David Hasselhoff if ''he really meant it''.

David has proposed ''five or six times'' and Hayley has always turned down his hand in marriage but now she feels ready to commit after dating him since 2011.

She said: ''If he really meant it, I probably would say yes. I'd get engaged as a sign that we're committed to each other, but I don't want to rush into marriage.

''We've got plenty of time, so if he does ask, I think we'd be engaged for a few years before we actually married.''

David is just as anxious to make sure the proposal happens at the right time but is waiting for them to take a break from their hectic schedules before he pops the question.

In a joint interview with the new UK issue of HELLO! magazine: ''I think the proposal will happen when we have a minute to take a breath. We've been going at 90 miles an hour since we met. When I proposed before, we were just having fun with the romance of it all and having a laugh with the fans on Twitter.''

David - whose first marriage to Catherine Hickland ended in 1984 after five years together, and he then married Pamela Bach who he had two daughters, Taylor, 23, and Hayley, 20, with before he filed for divorce from her in 2006 - surprised Hayley with a trip to Bali to celebrate their two-year anniversary and is ''really happy'' with the gorgeous blonde.

David, 61, added: ''Two years ago I just picked her up in a hotel bar and wanted to take her to a movie. We're very happy together and she's really good for me.''
