Harper Beckham sat front row at Victoria Beckham's spring/summer 2014 show.

The adorable toddler had pride of place on her father David Beckham's lap as she watched her mother's creations go down the runway at New York Fashion Week.

Harper took centre stage at the event as the fashion elite rushed to coo over the tiny tot, including infamously stern US Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who was seated next to David.

Meanwhile, Victoria's new collection was a hit with the fashion critics, boasting more menswear inspired looks this season, including mid-calf trousers, bomber jackets and loose t-shirts.

However, the 39-year-old brunette's trademark feminine aesthetic was still evident in the sky-high hemlines and ruffled hems.

The designer explained her new direction backstage, telling The Telegraph newspaper: ''I still love a fitted dress, but there is another side of me that wants to feel at ease and relaxed as well as sharp and feminine.''

The mother-of-four also ruled out the possibility of her soccer star husband moving into the fashion industry following his recent retirement from professional sport.

Victoria insisted: ''No - absolutely not - David lets me get on with that. He only arrived in New York yesterday, and he's actually far busier now that when he was still playing football.''
