Harlem Globetrotters Basketball Star Marques Haynes Has Died, Aged 89.
The sportsman, who was dubbed the greatest dribbler in basketball history, passed away on Friday (22May15) in Plano, Texas.
Haynes appeared as a member of the exhibition team from 1947 to 1953 and again throughout the 1970s and played more than 12,000 games for the Globetrotters in over 100 countries. He also coached the team in 1974 and 1975.
He became the first Globetrotter to be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in Massachusetts in 1998.
