The 20-year-old model has described sites like Instagram and Twitter as a platform for ''bullying''.
Speaking about social media, she said: ''It adds a lot of layers of insecurity. You're being told on a much larger scale that you're not pretty, you're not this, you're not that. Basically, it adds a lot of layers of bullying ... You think about what they're saying, and you wonder if they're right.''
And Hailey could have never predicted she would be a model a year ago and admits she is quite ''shy'' about her own success.
She added to the October issue of Fashion magazine: ''A year ago, I wouldn't have thought that I'd be doing what I'm doing now ... I'm [actually] still kind of shy about that.
''I'm timid and goofy. Once you get to know me, you'll see I'm clumsy, but I think it's funny. Some girls really know that they're pretty, and they act like it.''
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty previously revealed she thinks it is ''definitely easier'' dating someone in the spotlight.
She explained: ''It's definitely easier. You're never worried, 'Are they only hanging out with me because they want to get attention or be seen?' It can be weird for somebody who's never been in this world before to be sucked into it. Dating is weird, but it's so fun.''
And Hailey wants to have children at a young age.
Asked where she'd like to be in 20 years, she said: ''I think 20 years is a lot to think about, but by that time I would like to have a couple of children and be married and raising a family. There'll definitely be some kiddos in the picture by then. I want to be a young parent, so I want to be 40 and have teenage kids.''
