British actress Gwen Taylor is battling breast cancer.
The former castmember of U.K. soap opera Coronation Street made the revelation this week (beg20Oct14) following the death of her on stage Calendar Girls co-star Lynda Bellingham, who passed away on Sunday (19Oct14) after battling bowel cancer.
Taylor admits she feels "guilty" because her illness is not as aggressive and she stands a good chance of beating it unlike Bellingham.
She tells British newspaper the Derby Telegraph, "I feel like there's a future for me and I'm really pleased. But I feel guilty - I'm one of the lucky ones."
Taylor also reveals her cancer was caught early and she underwent surgery in August, 2013.
