Spooky supernatural series Grimm is set to end at the end of its upcoming sixth season.
Bosses at America's NBC network announced the cancellation on Monday (29Aug16), with the final 13-episode season premiering in January (16).
The show's stars took to social media to share their bittersweet feelings about the news, with actress Claire Coffee posting a group shot of the cast on Instagram, and adding the caption: "well, if i have to end the ride of a lifetime with the most wonderful crew in the biz, it's good to know i'll be doing it with a (bang). thank you, grimmsters (fans), from the bottom of my heart and beyond!!"
Her co-star Sasha Roiz added, "The sixth and (sniff) final season of @nbcgrimm will premiere January 6/2017 we are saddened to come to an end but so proud of what we've achieved. Thank you to our incredible fans for all the support and for making this show the success that it has been. Eternally grateful for this experience and for you. #grimmster4life."
