Veteran graffiti artist King Robbo has died at the age of 45.
Robbo had been in a coma since he was found at the bottom of a staircase with a severe head injury in 2011, and, on Thursday (31Jul14), he passed away.
A statement on his website reads: "It's with very great sadness that we have to announce that King Robbo passed away on 31 July 2014, due to health complications. Peace and respect to Robbo's close family and friends... Robbo changed the art world... forever!"
Robbo's artwork began appearing in London in the 1980s and he quickly became well known among street artists.
His death has ended a long-running feud between himself and fellow British artist Banksy, who has offered a tribute to Robbo on social media.
