Australian singer RENEE GEYER has been charged with careless driving after crashing her car into a shop in Melbourne last year (Nov10).
The jazz/soul star reportedly pressed the wrong pedal and reversed her vehicle into two parked cars before ploughing through the front of an optometrist store.
Geyer was breathalysed at the scene, and the star's spokesperson insisted the accident was most likely due to a "mechanical failure of the car".
But last week (end30Jan11) the 57 year old was charged with careless driving and failing to maintain proper control of a vehicle, reports Melbourne's Herald Sun.
Geyer is due to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 2 March (11).
