George W. Bush has become a grandfather
The 66-year-old former US president welcomed his first granddaughter into the world on Saturday night (13.04.13) after one of his twin daughters, Jenna Bush Hage, gave birth to a baby girl in a New York City hospital.
The former president announced in a statement: ''The baby's name is Margaret Laura 'Mila' Hager.''
Jenna and her husband Henry Hage, who have been married for four years, reportedly named the baby after her grandmothers.
George continued: ''We met our beautiful granddaughter today. Jenna and Mila are healthy. And our family is elated.''
Jenna is the contributing correspondent for NBC's 'Today' show and said before the baby was born: ''We're so excited and obviously nervous about it. I'm a first time mum, but it's something I've always wanted.''
Many ticket-holders couldn't get into the O2 Arena show on Tuesday night (September 19th) because they didn't bring photo ID to match their booking.
An album re-release, a new song and a documentary mark the singer's legacy this year.
The actor plays the titular hero in the forthcoming adaptation.
