French television channels have been ordered to translate the titles of globally franchised reality TV shows into their native language to stop the spread of English amongst younger viewers.

A CSA spokesperson says, "This results from the idea that English is superior and stems from a widespread sentiment of the inferiority or outdated nature of the Francophile culture."
