Former Disney star Joey Cramer has been arrested and charged for allegedly robbing a bank in Canada.
The 42-year-old, who is best known for starring in 1986 Disney movie Flight of the Navigator as a teenager, was arrested on Sunday (01May16) for allegedly robbing a branch of Scotiabank in Sechelt, British Columbia disguised in a wig and bandana on 28 April (16).
"Despite the fact that a disguise was used during the robbery, the suspect was quickly identified by some of our officers, who had recently dealt with him on an unrelated matter," Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Constable Harrison Mohr told Coastreporter.net. "We hope that the community feels safer now that the suspect has been apprehended."
Cramer has been charged with robbery and disguise with the intent to commit an indictable offence. He was also charged with failing to stop for a peace officer and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle for allegedly fleeing the scene in a car when an officer tried to stop him on 29 April.
He is scheduled to appear in court on 10 May (16).
