The Broadway revival of Motown: The Musical will shutter its doors for the second time on 31 July (16) - just 19 days after its return to the New York stage. The new production began on 12 July (16), but poor ticket sales have prompted producers to cut short its four-month run, which had been due to continue until 13 November (16). The musical, based on Berry Gordy's legendary label, originally premiered in 2013 and closed in 2015, before embarking on a U.S. tour.
