Author Susan Spencer-Wendel has died at the age of 47 after a battle with progressive neurodegenerative condition Lou Gehrig's disease. She died at her West Palm Beach home in Florida on Wednesday (04Jun14). Spencer-Wendel, who also worked as a reporter for The Palm Beach Post, became a bestselling writer with last year's (13) release of her memoir Until I Say Goodbye, which documented her health decline and a series of final trips she had embarked upon with her loved ones.
