Music mogul Doug Morris is set to be honoured with the Howie Richmond Hitmaker Award at the 2014 Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony in recognition of his career achievements as a songwriter, producer and label boss. The executive, who previously served as President of Atlantic Records, helped to oversee releases by artists including the Rolling Stones, Phil Collins, Led Zeppelin, Bette Midler, Mariah Carey and U2. He will be presented with the accolade on 12 June (14) in New York.
