Former US president GERALD FORD has been released from hospital after undergoing a procedure to widen his coronary arteries. The 93-year-old was admitted to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota on 15 August (06) for observation after falling ill. He was fitted with a pacemaker just days before undergoing the artery-widening angioplasty. Ford - the oldest living ex-president - and his wife BETTY have returned to their Colorado home.
