Egyptian actor Khaled Saleh has died at the age of 50.
The star passed away on Thursday (25Sep14) in a hospital in Aswan, Egypt following complications after undergoing open heart surgery.
During his career, he shot some of the country's most memorable cinematic performances including his turns in Egyptian films The Yacoubian Building and Heya Fawda.
Theatre director Khaled Galal writes on his Facebook.com page, "My brother and lifetime friend Khaled Saleh has joined God's heaven. May God have mercy on you and bless you with forgiveness, my friend. You will be in heaven if God wills it."
Saleh's funeral will reportedly take place on Friday (26Sep14) in Cairo.
