The 5.4-scale earthquake in Los Angeles on Tuesday (29Jul08) sent crew and cast members running from the studio during a taping of TV courtroom drama JUDGE JUDY.
Network bosses closed down the set and evacuated cast members during the shoot, after the earthquake hit 30 miles (48.2 kilometres) south of the city.
A spokesperson for the show said the TV courtroom - helmed by Judge Judy Sheindlin - shook, as did cameras, sending the people on set into a frenzy.
Cast and crew members returned to the shoot after an estimated 45 minutes, when officials assured them the earthquake had stopped.
The representative confirms taping is scheduled to continue as normal, adding: "All is now well."
There's already an Oscars buzz surrounding this movie.
