Rap mogul DR. DRE has developed a pair of pioneering new headphones because he's tired of bad sound quality from mass market models.
The hitmaker has spent two years working with music boss Jimmy Iovine on the new Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, which he claims replicates the pure sound he hears in the studio through top-of-the-range industry models.
He says, "They cater to consumers who want to hear every last essence of the music."
The new headphones will retail at $350 (GBP175) when they go on sale at Apple stores in America on Friday (25Jul08).
