Hitmaker Dr. Luke is in talks to become the third judge on U.S. singing competition show American Idol.
The 39-year-old songwriter and record producer, whose real name is Lukasz Gottwald, is reportedly the front runner to join Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez at the judges' table for season 13, after talks with Will.i.am stalled, according to Us Weekly magazine.
Gottwald got his start as Saturday Night's Live's house band lead guitarist in 1997. He went on to work with several music stars including Kelly Clarkson, Flo Rida, Ke$ha and Katy Perry.
Urban announced his return to the judges' panel earlier this year (13) and Lopez's boyfriend, Casper Smart, let it slip recently that she would be coming back for the show.
The long-awaited fourth season of 'Peaky Blinders' debuts later this year, with Tom Hardy now confirmed to reprise his role as Alfie Solomons.
