Influential California punk/hip-hop act Death Grips have split.
The group has pulled out of an upcoming appearance at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, Illinois after announcing plans to disband.
A handwritten note posted on their Facebook.com page reads: "We are now at our best and so Death Grips is over. We have officially stopped. All currently scheduled live dates are canceled..."
The band formed in 2010 and consisted of rapper Stefan 'MC Ride' Burnett, drummer Zach Hill, and producer Andy Morin.
