British actress Danniella Westbrook has confessed she was wrong to claim her car had been stolen last week (ends27Apr14) - she was unaware it had actually been repossessed.
The former star of British soap opera EastEnders took to Twitter.com to vent her anger after her vehicle disappeared from outside her house in Kent, England.
The car had been taken away by a hire company after the actress failed to keep up with monthly payments, but she claims the incident was down to a "complete and utter misunderstanding".
Westbrook says, "I forgot to set up a direct debit, so didn't realise that the payments were not being made. Had the hire company wanted the car back, all they had to do was ask."
The news comes after Westbrook's home in Essex, England was burgled three times in as many weeks. She is said to have moved house after the break-ins.
