England cricket star Monty Panesar has issued a public apology after he was fined by police for urinating on a doorman during a nightclub fracas this week (beg05Aug13).
The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday morning (05Aug13) after the sportsman was ejected from the Shooshh venue in Brighton, England. Police officers who were called to the scene issued him with an on-the-spot fine for drunk and disorderly behaviour, and Panesar, 31, has now issued an apology for his behaviour.
A statement from the cricketer reads, "Monty would like to apologise unreservedly for any offence caused."
The matter is now under investigation by bosses at Panesar's Sussex County Cricket Club.
