Hard-hitting movie CRASH claimed the Grand Prize at the Deauville Film Festival in France on Sunday night (11SEP05), while another dark drama, Keane, claimed the jury prizes.
Crash's all-star cast and screenplay by British writer/director Paul Haggis were all given special mention when the film became a popular choice for the top prize.
BAND OF BROTHERS star Damian Lewis' turn as a depressed and detached man in Keane was also noted as that film claimed the International Crix jury prize and shared honours with ON THE OUTS for the festival jury award.
