The woman behind hit British period dramas Cranford and Call The Midwife has revamped beloved musical Gigi for a New York theatre run.
Playwright Heidi Thomas has adapted Colette's novella, which hit the stage as an Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe musical, for a Broadway show later this year (13).
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the debut of Gigi on the New York stage.
Casting details will be announced in the coming weeks.
He'll also be on board as a producer for the book to screen adaptation.
