Country music star Marvin Rainwater has died, aged 88.
The singer passed away on 17 September (13) after a short illness.
Rainwater began his career in the 1950s after he signed a recording contract with Mgm, putting out singles including his crossover track Gonna Find Me A Bluebird.
His career hit a roadblock when he began suffering vocal problems and he went on hiatus before making a comeback as a songwriter.
Rainwater is survived by his wife Sheree and five children, according to Billboard.com.
