Cloud Atlas looks set to dominate the annual German Film Awards next month (Apr13) after picking up nine nominations.
The German-made sci-fi movie, starring Tom Hanks and Halle Berry, is up for a Best Film 'Lola' - the nickname of the prizegiving's trophies - as well as Best Director, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Art, Best Costume, Best Design, Best Costumes and Best Score.
The movie's main rival is Oh Boy, which boasts eight nods and is also up for Best Film and Best Director.
In the acting categories, Martina Gedeck (The Wall), Birgit Minichmayr (Mercy) and Barbara Sukowa (Hannah Arendt) are all up for Best Female Lead, while the Best Male Lead trophy will be fought for by Edin Hasanovic (Shifting the Blame), Tom Schilling (Oh Boy) and Sabin Tambrea (Ludwig Ii).
The awards will be handed out at a ceremony in Berlin, Germany on 26 April (13).
The actor says he isn't "holding out for more money or doing anything like that".
The drama will be making its return to the streaming service in the near future.
