The Virginia home of celebrated country singer PATSY CLINE has been granted protection in the state's Landmarks Register - and may even be listed in a National Register of Historic Places soon.
The CRAZY singer lived at the house on South Kent Street in her late teens, and again in 1957.
The Department of Historic Resources enthuses that the place was "a springboard for Patsy's ambitious dreams of becoming a country music star".
Although it is currently rented privately, the famous residence has attracted pilgrimages from devoted fans for years, some of whom hope to raise enough money to buy and transform the building into a museum.
Cline, who died tragically in a plane crash over 40 years ago, is buried nearby.
