Argentinian rocker Charly Garcia was forced to pull out of a concert in Colombia late on Friday (15Nov13) after he was hospitalised for high blood pressure.
The singer, 62, fell ill moments before he was due to take the stage at Bogota's El Campin Coliseum and had to be admitted to the University Hospital of Fundacion Santa Fe de Bogota, where doctors confirmed Garcia had suffered an "acute coronary event".
He was discharged from the clinic on Saturday (16Nov13) but was ordered to continue resting to aid his recovery.
Garcia, who has battled drug and alcohol addictions in the past, has previously experienced problems with blood pressure - he fainted onstage in the middle of a show in Argentina last year (12) and had to cancel the rest of the gig.
Two weeks ahead of Independent Venue Week, Dry Cleaning made 'Britain's Best Small Venue 2015' (NME) the second port of call on their 2020 tour.
