French Dj Cedric Gervais disappointed hundreds of U.S. revellers when he reportedly backed out of a planned performance in New York at the last minute.
The Molly hitmaker was due to spin the decks at Southampton hotspot 75 Main to celebrate America's Independence Day last Thursday (04Jul13) but pulled out of the sold-out gig just 24 hours before his scheduled appearance.
Gervais reportedly backed out of the gig in order to prepare for his appearance at the Wavefront Beachside Music Festival in Chicago, Illinois on Friday (05Jul13).
A spokeswoman for 75 Main owner Zach Erdem tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "The contracts... were finalised two weeks in advance of the event... 24 hours before the event, Gervais cancelled...
"75 Main welcomed between 400 and 500 guests on the night of July Fourth. The majority of guests had come expecting to see and hear DJ Cedric Gervais, and a large number left early when they realised he was a no-show."
Erdem claims the venue incurred about $100,000 (£64,516) in losses.
When asked about the last-minute cancellation, a representative for Gervais told the publication, "You have been misinformed."

The film is expected to continue without Mendes' involvement.
