The children of beloved U.S. Tv and radio personality Casey Kasem have broken their silence after learning their father's remains were laid to rest in Norway last week (ends19Dec14), six months after his death.
The America's Top 40 stalwart's widow Jean won permission to take charge of burial plans last month (14), after a court ruled against a request from Kasem's daughter Kerri to bring her dad home for a proper autopsy and family memorial.
News broke on Monday (22Dec14) that the Dj had been buried at the Vestre Gravlund cemetery just outside Oslo last week.
A spokesman for the the Kasem children reveals their stepmother arranged for the burial without telling the kids.
He adds, "She does not have to tell them since she is the conservator over his remains."
Kerri Kasem has now fired off about the secret ceremony on Facebook.com, stating, "Even with All the letters... from my father's friends and family stating that he wanted to be buried in the United States, the country in which he was born and raised, his wishes were, once again, ignored by his unfaithful wife. How Many More Witnesses Do You Need... West Los Angeles Police Department Where Are You?!"
The Tv and radio icon died in June (14). His kids have called for a full autopsy on his remains to determine if senior abuse was a cause of his death. Jean Kasem has denied any allegations of wrongdoing.
