Late broadcaster Casey Kasem's daughter Kerri has avoided another public battle with her stepmother after agreeing to let her handle the late icon's funeral arrangements.
The beloved Dj and voice actor, who suffered from Parkinson's disease, died of complications from dementia early on Sunday (15Jun14), four days after a Los Angeles judge granted Kerri, his court-appointed caretaker, permission to withhold medication, food and drink to her hospitalised dad, as he was in too much pain to digest anything.
Jean Kasem, who had previously been accused of banning the radio personality's three kids from his first marriage from visiting their ailing father, challenged the ruling on Friday (13Jun14).
Now Kerri appears to be making amends with her stepmum by granting Jean's request to have Kasem's body released to her from the Washington hospice where he died, according to Tmz.com.
Jean, who wed Kasem in 1980, is the executor of her husband's will.
The film is almost half an hour longer than 'The Force Awakens'.
The film is expected to continue without Mendes' involvement.
