A judge has ruled pop star ERIC CARMEN must serve time in prison after he was caught driving under the influence in September (08).
The Hungry Eyes hitmaker has been sentenced to 180 days in jail - but will only have to complete 30 days behind bars, reports TMZ.com.
The former Raspberries singer was charged with driving under the influence in Orange, Ohio last year after he crashed his car into a fire hydrant.
He had been driving with a blood alcohol level of .234 - three times the legal limit of .08.
Carmen, who was also ordered to pay a $1,000 (£667) fine, will begin his sentence on 25 April (09).
