Folk legend TRAVIS EDMONDSON has died after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was 76.
The singer/songwriter teamed up with Bud Dashiell to form popular early 1960s duo Bud & Travis, who were part of the folk music revival.
Peter, Paul & Mary star Peter Yarrow, who performed with Bud & Travis at the Hollywood Bowl in 1963, tells the Los Angeles Times newspaper, "Bud & Travis helped to launch the folk renaissance with some of the most beautiful music we ever heard. Travis had a mellifluous voice.
The duo recorded hits like La Bamba and Malaguena Salerosa. They split in 1965.
Dashiell died in 1989.
Corgan took to Instagram to confirm rumours of new Pumpkins material, saying the first songs could arrive as early as May.
