A British TV company has won worldwide rights to produce a documentary on the world's first `pregnant man'.
DCD Media's September Films beat four other companies keen to tell Thomas Beatie's story.
Beatie, who was born a woman, became the first man to give birth on 29 June (08). The 34-year-old underwent gender reassignment surgery and hormone treatment.
He gave birth to a baby girl at an Oregon hospital.
Beatie hit the headlines around the world after appearing on Oprah Winfrey's talk show at the beginning of 2008 with his partner.
He'll also be on board as a producer for the book to screen adaptation.
Gendry has been living under Cersei Lannister's nose for quite some time now.
The director would love to take the films in a different direction.
