British 1970s sitcom SOME MOTHERS DO 'AVE 'EM is set to be remade for a U.S. audience. The series, which followed the mishaps of disaster-prone Frank Spencer - played by Michael Crawford - is undergoing rewrites from BBC scriptwriters for media giant Fox. Creator Raymond Allen insists he is delighted by the revival. He says, "I never would have dreamt 35 years ago when I originally wrote the series that dearly loved by disastrous Frank would be creating havoc on American soil. "It's a very exciting time... and a treasured moment of glory for Frank!" Paul Telegady, of the BBC, says, "We have felt for a while now that Some Mothers Do 'Ave Em' would translate brilliantly across the pond."
The actor says he isn't "holding out for more money or doing anything like that".
The drama will be making its return to the streaming service in the near future.
