Veteran British Dj Dave Lee Travis is facing a new charge of indecent assault as he prepares to face a retrial on sex abuse allegations.
The former BBC Radio regular, 68, was cleared of 12 counts relating to sex attacks on women as young as 17 dating back to the 1970s during a trial last month (Feb14), but the jury was split over a further count of indecent assault relating to an alleged incident in the early 1990s, and one of sexual assault, which stems from a reported incident in 2008.
He is due to be tried again on those two charges, but during a hearing at London's Southwark Crown Court on Friday (28Mar14), prosecutor Miranda Moore revealed that Travis will also be slapped with an extra count of indecent assault. Details for the latest incident have not been released.
Travis has denied all charges.
