Olympic boxer Fred Evans has been convicted of assaulting a man during a night out in England.
The British silver medallist was arrested on 23 February (14) after an altercation at a lap-dancing club in Birmingham.
At Birmingham Magistrates' Court on Thursday (17Apr14), he admitted common assault and was ordered to pay $400 (£250) costs, a $68 (£43) victim surcharge and $800 (£500) in compensation to his victim.
His co-accused Danny Butler was jailed for 10 weeks for his part in the attack.
Welterweight Evans, 23, made his name at the London 2012 Olympic games after winning his native Wales its first medal since 1972.
