Reality TV stars DUANE 'DOG' CHAPMAN and his wife BETH were honoured in Hawaii on Tuesday (20MAR07), for their assistance in ridding the island of criminals.
The Dog the Bounty Hunter stars run a successful bounty hunting firm in Hawaii, which sees them apprehending people who have skipped bail or resisted their arrest warrant.
The Chapmans accepted a certificate of commendation from Republican GENE WARD at a ceremony in Honolulu.
Chapman enthused, "I hate to say this, but for felons and ex-cons, I'm their president. What I do, they shall follow. I'm the poster child for rehabilitation in America."
Chapman started fighting crime after serving five years in prison following his 1977 conviction for being an accessory to murder. At the time of the murder, Chapman was in a biker gang, of which a member committed the crime.
The actor says he isn't "holding out for more money or doing anything like that".
The drama will be making its return to the streaming service in the near future.
