Bolshoi Ballet star Pavel Dmitrichenko, who is accused of plotting a horrific acid attack on the famed dance company's artistic director, has paid him more than $1,500 (£1,000) in compensation.
Sergei Filin suffered burns and temporary blindness when a corrosive substance was thrown in his face in an unprovoked incident on a Moscow street in January (13).
Leading soloist Dmitrichenko is standing trial on charges of masterminding the assault following a number of backstage bust-ups over artistic differences at the famed dance troupe.
He denies the accusation, but it has emerged during the trial at Meshchansky District Court of Moscow that the dancer has already handed Filin two payments totalling more than $1,500 for financial and moral damage.
Court documents reveal Filin had demanded almost $110,000 (£73,300) in compensation.
The jury in the case is due to retire to consider its verdict this week (beg02Dec13).
