A maid at the centre of Bollywood actor SHINEY AHUJA's rape case has retracted her allegations, revealing in court the alleged sexual assault never happened.
The rising film star was arrested in Mumbai, India in June 2009 and charged with rape, wrongful confinement and criminal intimidation following a complaint from the employee.
Ahuja, who has denied the claims, has been free on bail since last October (09).
He went on trial this week (begs06Sep10) but the case was rocked on Tuesday (07Sep10) by the 20-year-old maid's revelation.
She confessed Ahuja did not attack her and claimed she had been told to make up the allegation by a woman who helped her land the job at his home.
Ahuja still faces up to 10 years behind bars if he is found guilty of the charges.
The maid could also be charged with perjury following her confession.
The actor says he isn't "holding out for more money or doing anything like that".
The drama will be making its return to the streaming service in the near future.
