Controversial Bollywood movie STRINGS has sparked chaos in northern India as Hindu holy men torched merchandise to protest against its irreligious themes. Dozens of celibate pilgrims set fire to promotional CDs and posters as they await a court hearing in Allahabad next week (25JUL06) which could see the film banned. Lead actor ADAM BEDI - the son of Indian director KABIR BEDI - plays a British man who tries to join the sacred Kumbh festival to learn about his own spirituality.
The actor says he isn't "holding out for more money or doing anything like that".
The drama will be making its return to the streaming service in the near future.
