Bobby Shmurda's Family Is Reportedly Working With A New York Bondsman To Arrange The Incarcerated Rapper's Release From Jail.
The hip-hop star, real name Ackquille Pollard, has been in a New York correctional facility since December, 2014, following his arrest during a police sting operation in Manhattan.
He was charged with conspiracy counts, reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and more, and his bail was set at $2 million (GBP1.25 million). A trial date for Pollard and 14 members of his entourage had been set for October (15), but it has since been moved to February (16).
The 21 year old has been denied bail several times, but his legal team has put together an extensive legal proposal to have the rapper released in time for Christmas on $2 million bond.
According to TMZ.com, the Pollard family members have put their property up as collateral and are hoping he will be released on Thursday (03Dec15). Pollard's legal team has not commented on the report.
In June (15), the rapper rejected a plea deal to serve eight years in prison. If convicted in the upcoming trial, he faces up to 25 years behind bars.
